Poster presentation guidelines

Dear colleagues, please find below some basic guidelines for your poster preparation and presentation during the 7thbiannual international evaluation conference in Vilnius.

Size

Recommended poster size is the A0 format (portrait orientation): 841mm*1189 mm high. Board dimensions are 90 cm*120 cm. Posters will be exhibited in the Posters area.

 

Contents

Each poster should normally contain the following information:

 - A short, descriptive title/ title of evaluation (no abbreviations)

 - An introduction laying out the purpose of the presentation, challenges addressed

 - A narrative (research design, methods, materials, main findings and results)

 - Conclusions and lessons learned (clear and simple, emphasising implications for practice)

 - Policy impact (if any)

 - Full names of contributing authors

 - Authors’ affiliations/ company, contact details

 - Funding source, client and acknowledgements

 

Fonts and visibility

At least 60pt for the title.

At least 44pt for the authors/affiliations and possible headings of sections.

At least 36pt for the body text.

All pictures and photos should be high resolution (at least 300 dpi resolution)

The poster should be readable from 2 to 3 meters distance.

 

Language

Your poster must be written in ENGLISH.

 

Materials

Thin cardboard is more suitable than paper.

Prepare your material beforehand so that it fits neatly into the space available and can be easily attached to the board.

The conference organisers will provide suitable fixing materials, and on site assistance will be available to help you display your poster.

 

Presentation

Please be available by your poster throughout the scheduled Posters, networking and coffee session (Day2, Friday, 19 May 2017, 10.30-11.00, Poster Area).

Be prepared to use your poster paper presentation to explain the work described and to answer specific questions.

Also, have business cards available for those who may wish to contact you at a later date.

 

Mounting your poster

The Poster area will be open for poster mounting starting on Day2, Friday, 19 May 2017, since the registration opening at 8.15. All posters must be mounted before the beginning of the Posters, networking and coffee session at 10.30 on the very same day. The posters must be displayed at least until a light buffet dinner session at 13.00 on Friday, 19 May 2017.

 

Removing your poster

All material must be removed by the owner of the poster at the end of the conference. The conference organisers cannot accept responsibility for any material left behind. The organisers are not responsible for loss or damage. Posters left on site at the end of the conference will be removed but not stored.
